Fulgor Palace, set inside Palazzo Valloni, a 18th century building whose façade was designed by the architect Giuseppe Valadier, is the oldest cinema in Rimini and one of the most famous in the world, thanks to the great film director Federico Fellini who, on his father’s lap, saw his first film, Maciste all’inferno by Guido Brignone and thus discovered the magic of the seventh art.
Cinema Fulgor was also the most frequented by Fellini, who used to enter it for free in exchange for portraits of American stars. Today, it represents the most powerful symbol of the bond between the director and his hometown as well as being the first and one of the main sources of Fellini’s visionary work.
Since 2020, the three upper floors of Palazzo Valloni have been part of the Museum dedicated to the great master of cinema Federico Fellini, where information, study and research themes can be explored.
