Rimini all year round

Caffè Cavour

The oldest café in Rimini, previously called Caffè di Bologna, opened in 1784 and was located, as it is now, in the most significant square in Rimini’s historic centre, the current Cavour Square, just a few metres far from the very famous fountain Fontana della Pigna, which was also mentioned by the great Leonardo da Vinci. It is from this fountain that the current Caffè Cavour took, for a certain period of time, what has remained as the most famous name of this ancient café over the years: Caffè della Fontana. Nowadays, Caffè Cavour offers various coffee selections, a wide choice of excellent quality breakfasts, sandwiches and delicious salads for a quick and delicious lunch. In the late afternoon, its famous, always crowded, “aperitif” takes place, served in the splendid veranda overlooking the square.
